The Bridegrooms Voice: Will the Church respond in 2009?

I want to personally declare what I believe the Lord is revealing to me in this hour. My purpose in sharing this is for edification, comfort and exhortation to the body of Christ.  I also carry a huge burden for emerging leaders who desire to be used greatly by God.  The “young” emerging leaders have said that the current local Church expressions in America (not all) cannot possibly be the only expression God is going to use to reach an unbelieving generation.   The emerging generation of leaders have whole new prototypes and paradigms that God has shown them and communicated to them that He would back and affirm.   They’ve been restricted to the balances of allegiance and protocol.   Some have been in training and are being raised as the next generals and High Priests of the generaton, but they’re growing despondent because the church of America is demonstrating behavior of harlotry and idolatry for she has not turned her heart and received Jesus as KING and BRIDEGROOM.

I am 33 yrs old, it was thirteen years ago this New Years Eve that I had an encounter with God in surburban Chicago.  Interestingly enough 2yrs later I met my wife on New Years.  Both at parties.  One a party of wickedness the other a party of Salvation and life.  But I remember on the day the Lord visited me that I heard what I know now to be the internal audible voice of God.  He thundered these words to me “You’ve been exposed”.

Pt One - God’s Exposition

One definition I observed brings this to light:  Exposition:The act of expounding or of laying open the sense or meaning of an author, or a passage; explanation; interpretation; the sense put upon a passage; a law, or the like, by an interpreter; hence, a work containing explanations or interpretations; a commentary.

On my night of visitation I believe that God visiting me was largely due to the nature of His mercy.  And that he wanted to lay open to bare where I was in my life.  He wanted me to see where I stood with Him and to give me an opportunity to make a decision to change my way and course.  To this day I’m always astonished of what also accommodated Him that night — His Judgement.   There was a profound sense of deliverence, mercy and Judgement that confronted me that night.   The net result was that my heart was laid bare and open and a spirit of understanding and truth came upon me that gave me a glimpse of how wretched and undone I was, yet I also had a divine sense that as unclean as I was I stood in the presence of a HOLY God.   HOLY LORD GOD ALMIGHTY was the name the Lord used as He introduced Himself to me.  For He alone is the only God that can touch the profane and remain Holy as He did with me that night.

I wanna say that 2009 will be a year of great exposure both natural and spiritual.  We are already seeing this.  I wanna say that God is wanting His people to shoot straight with Him.  Areas where we’ve struggled and tolerated in sins we must gain understanding of His Love — it is the only way that we can be pure and remain pure.  God is flushing out servants as well (Apostles, Prophets, Teachers etc…) I’m doing this in own my life even now.   I sowed dangerously to my flesh.  As an above avereage basketball star I succomb to the pride of life and  many sexual perversions and worldly abominations.  God’s blood has certainly cleansed those things away.  I’ve found out that the remedy to defeating and disarming the deeds sown to flesh is to have a revelation of Jesus the Bridgeroom and to live a life of sacrifice and dedication as Holy servants in the earth.

The voice that I heard still resounds to this day — YOU’VE BEEN EXPOSED.    That same voice of judgement and exposing that I heard on my day of visitation also has,  as it were morphed into another voice that I’m now learning to recognize…this voice is the same voice that I believe will transition the Church into her truest indentification in CHRIST.

For we (the Church) know Jesus as Savior, Deliverer and Healer, but do we know Jesus as King and Bridegroom?  Stay tuned to my next blog we will discuss the great transition of the Church — knowing Jesus as Bridgegroom.  I believe this is especially critical for the black peoplegroup within the body of Christ.

John 3:29 The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete

Blessings,

Darrian
